Share Your Love by Volunteering for PHILLIPS Playground Build Day!

Looking for a service project for your group or business? How about building a playground?

On May 22, 2019, PHILLIPS School ~ Laurel and The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation, in partnership with KaBOOM!, will build an amazing playground!

PHILLIPS is seeking about 100-150 volunteers to come out to build this kid-designed, community supported playground for the children and families who attend PHILLIPS School~Laurel, located in Laurel, Maryland.

You do not have to be skilled, trained or have any special tools, but you do need to be enthusiastic, energetic, team players willing to work and have fun!

Build captains and site preparers are also needed!

  • Skilled builders are invited to become Build Captains to take on a leadership role on May 22. Build Captains are asked to attend a 45-minute orientation on Prep Day, May 20th
  • About 15 volunteers are needed to help prepare the playground site on May 20. A few volunteers will be asked to help unload equipment and tools from the truck from 9-11.  Lunch will be served!

If you’re ready for a day filled with fun, music, food and working with others to create a beautiful new playspace for our children and families, click here to download the volunteer form and reach out to Dr. Rose Ann Renteria at Roseann.Renteria@phillipsprograms.org to learn more!
