A frequent speaker and commentator on trends and issues related to media, technology and society, Tom Watson has appeared on shows ranging from CNN’s Moneyline to NPR’s All Things Considered, and has spoken at venues such as the Global Philanthropy Forum and Clinton Global Initiative.
When America’s Charities recently asked Tom how he thinks our digital culture will transform workplace giving and employee engagement, Tom replied, “One word above all others: choice. You can find and support any charity online, and you can take part of many communities and hear many stories. Choice is transforming workplace giving and shifting the emphasis from procedure and duty (“I gave at the office”) to real storytelling and impact.”
At the #GivingUnderTheInfluence Symposium on April 24, Tom Watson and other experts will lead a discussion about how shifting employee expectations and the empowering digital culture are transforming the traditional workplace giving model into a more engaging experience inside and outside the workplace walls.
