The LIVESTRONG Cancer Guide & Tracker App
By Shelly Crossland
There is no denying that we live in a technology-dominated world. From iPhones to iPads, information has never been easier to access. At LIVESTRONG, we strive to give you the tools you need to navigate your cancer journey, which is why we have created our very own iPad app, inspired by the LIVESTRONG Guidebook.
For years, the guidebook has been helping people navigate the cancer journey by providing essential tools and answering pressing questions. The two-volume book contains helpful information and journal spaces for survivors to address any physical, emotional and practical concerns. It covers everything from understanding insurance and financial issues to finding hope during this difficult time.
For many cancer patients, our guidebook has been a great source of comfort. Cancer survivor Gayla Rhodes was not sure what LIVESTRONG could do for her when she was first diagnosed, but knew she needed guidance and support. After ordering the guidebook, she found that some weight was lifted off her shoulders. “Those notebooks told me how to get from point A to B. They made my head spin much less and I kept them near for reference.” (Read Gayla’s full story here).
In 2011 we decided it was time to adapt to the world of technology, creating the free Cancer Guide and Tracker app for iPads.
