Position Description:

America’s Charities, www.charities.org, a Chantilly, Virginia-based national nonprofit, representing nearly 150 members as choices in federal, state and local governmental and corporate employee engagement programs nationwide, is seeking an Executive Assistant. 

We are looking for an energetic and self motivated individual to support its operations with strong organizational and time management skills plus a keen eye for detail. 

The Executive Assistant will:

  • Provide primary support for the Executive Office related to Board and Committee relations.
  • Assist in the coordination of the venue selection and preparation for the National Board of Directors meetings and Annual Leadership Retreat.
  • Work closely with the IT Director to ensure all office systems are operational and support the organization in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Supervise, coach and train the Receptionist and /or Administrative Assistant.
  • Assist in the coordination of annual stakeholder surveys.
  • Provide support to the Database Administrator by becoming the backup.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

Skills /Qualifications: Administrative Writing  Skills, Reporting Skills, Supply Management, Scheduling,  Microsoft Office Skills, Organization, Time Management, Presentation Skills, Travel Logistics and verbal communications. 

Minimum of five years experience as an Executive or Senior Administrative Assistant.
