Design Internship – America’s Charities
Do you want to get a head start on your career while you’re still in school? Do you want to build your design portfolio and get to know the ins and outs of a fast-paced and results-oriented marketing and communications department? Then America’s Charities is here to help.
We inspire employees and organizations to support causes they care about. We do this to bring more resources to the nonprofits that are changing our world. We have distributed more than $675 million to more than 10,000 charities since 1980.
America’s Charities, a nonprofit itself, helps you help others through workplace giving, employee engagement, and CSR. We sit squarely at the intersection of the nonprofit sector and employers, helping both sustainably increase social impact. The graphic here shows you the funds we helped raise for causes in 2016 alone – and the kind of design we look to you for.
We are seeking a Design Intern for the upcoming semester (now through December 2018). This part-time, unpaid position based in Chantilly, Virginia – a suburb of Washington, DC – provides on-the-job training and exciting career experience. America’s Charities is committed to working with you to ensure that the experience is practical and career-building. We are also happy to work with you and your advisors to receive college credit for your work.
Primary Purpose: You will be responsible for creating meaningful experiences for America’s Charities audience – both online and off, and growing that audience through innovative creative campaigns. This is a 15 hour per week hands-on job focused on developing creative branding themes, infographics, graphics for inbound marketing campaigns, and measurement of design activities. This is your chance to join a collaborative environment where everyone’s contributions are essential and valued. At America’s Charities, you’ll have opportunities to flex your creative muscles and contribute your originality in all aspects of design—from conception to completion. Reports to Lindsay Nichols, America’s Charities’ Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
