The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Region is comprised of 2  chapters serving a population of more than 4.1 million people across 5 counties. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. For more than a century, the American Red Cross has been dedicated to serving people in need. We do this every day because the Red Cross is needed -- every day.

Regional Statistics
July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020

- Responded to 589 local disasters and provided assistance to 2,937 people
- Installed 2,698 free lifesaving smoke alarms
- Trained 37,815 people in first aid, CPR and other lifesaving skills
- Collected 115,753 blood donations
- Provided 2,888 services for military members, veterans and their families
- Trained 429 students in disaster preparedness through The Pillowcase Project
- Aided by 1,876 volunteers.

The Red Cross House, based in West Philadelphia, is the only facility of its kind in the county, providing transitional housing and recovery services for disaster survivors in our region. The goal of the Red Cross House is to move families from disaster to recovery. The average stay is 21 days and there no cost to the family for Red Cross services. In these three weeks, families receive the support they need to return to independent living.
