Only 17 Percent of Parents Believe Reading is Top Priority During the Summer
A new Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) survey found that only 17% of parents believe that reading is a top summertime priority. Despite heavy evidence that suggests reading skills lapse during the summer months, over 60% of parents surveyed feel that their is no loss in these skills during the time their children are out of school for summer break.
