New JK Group White Paper Addresses Compliance Complexities of Corporate Philanthropy Programs

With globalization continuing to connect the world and make it smaller, companies must think globally when developing philanthropic programs. According to the white paper, successful international giving programs must overcome differences in language, culture and currency, but most importantly, companies must ensure the non-profits are legitimate aid organizations with established reputations. Fraudulent groups, terrorists and scammers prey on the good intentions of giving programs. Due diligence, including compliance with international laws and tax legislation, is critical to mitigate legal and reputational risks for the giving corporation.
