Cincinnati Wish Kid’s Soup Recipe Inspired Others to Feed the Homeless
By Lindsay Allen
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 10-year-old cancer patient is inspiring do-gooders in Louisville and helping feed dozens in the process.
The meal helped warm up the homeless at Wayside Christian Mission Thursday night is “Natalia’s Wish.”
On a cold winter day, hot soup has a way of warming you up from the inside out.
“Delicious, delicious, she did an awesome job,” said Stephanie Martin.
Sullivan University’s dean and students delivered 60 gallons of the soup to Wayside Christian Mission.Â
But this isn’t just any soup, it’s actually Natalia Marsh-Welton’s wish as she battles brain cancer.
“We were watching Food Network and she was like, ‘hey mom’ and I was like ‘yeah’ and she was like ‘I’ve got it can we feed the hungry?'” said Natalia’s mother, Kelly Marsh-Welton.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation arranged for the 10-year-old girl from Cincinnati to team up with a world-class chef, and together they created the recipe for Natalia’s Soup of Love.
