This corporation is one of the largest nonprofit agencies in the region. We are leading the charge in advocating for and empowering people of differing abilities to transform their own lives through unique opportunities to work and play in the community. Our vision is to experience a world where people with differing abilities are fully included. Using an innovative and effective social entrepreneurial model on which the corporation was founded, we offer job training, employment, life skill improvement, community support and recreation opportunities to more than 2,050 people each year in the State of Maryland and the DC metropolitan area.

Over 1,100 of those workers are stationed on one of our 43 contract sites, including, but not limited to, the following military installations: Ft Meade, Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, Dahlgren, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Navy Yard, U.S. Naval Academy, Coast Guard at Curtis Bay; and a number of federal agencies: HUD, IRS, FBI, USDA, GSA, NASA Goddard, and others, including the New Executive Office Building in the White House Complex and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Contract services include: Total Facilities Management; Janitorial/Custodial services; Landscaping and Grounds-keeping; e-Solutions: recycling; green cleaning; customized job training and placement; community support services and call center services. An additional 225 individuals with differing abilities work in our greenhouses, in our electronics-recycling program, or among our administrative and operations staff at any of our four locations.
As a result, this nonprofit agency is one of the largest employers of people with differing abilities in the Eastern Region of the United States.
The agency's 108-acre retreat and recreation center provides support for individuals of all abilities through enriching recreational activities. Located in Nanjemoy in rural Charles County, Maryland, the recreation center plays host to year-long activities designed for people of all abilities. Whether it’s a summer at Camp Accomplish, therapeutic trail riding, or traveling with Access Adventures, We strive to enhance the lives of children, youth and adults.
