Medical Research is expensive work, but who can put a price on saving lives? At the Lustgarten Foundation, every dollar contributed goes 100% to funding research and patient support.
America's largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research, with 100% of contributions going directly to research and patient services thanks to generous private funding. The Lustgarten Foundation has assembled the best scientific minds to find means of early detection, diagnosis, treatments and cures. Almost 54,000 people annually are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, yet only 10% are diagnosed at an early stage and most patients do not live beyond 5 years.
The Lustgarten Foundation is working to change those statistics by carefully investing in more than 1,000 scientists and researchers working to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Impact areas are: Early Detection, Personalized Medicine, Establishment of a Centralized Pancreatic Cancer Database, Drug Development and Biomarker Discovery to find new methods to test people for pancreatic cancer and to treat them earlier in the stage of their disease.
When you invest in the Lustgarten Foundation, you invest in researchers and scientists all over the world. The majority of our funding requires that collaboration takes place and that the sharing of the findings can be used by others to move the needle forward toward a cure.
