CureSearch for Children's Cancer
Our mission is to end childhood cancer by driving targeted and innovative research with measurable results in an accelerated time frame.
Improve childhood cancer treatment and cures to deliver the potential for childhood cancer patients to lead long, healthy lives.
Accelerate the Search. Find the Cure. Join Us Today.
Research is the only way to end childhood cancer. But we cannot pursue this goal at the cost of a child’s quality of life or long-term survival. We also cannot wait for the federal funding system to rise above its own bureaucracy in order to spur innovative new treatment options. We need innovative approaches now if the children of tomorrow are going to live long and healthy lives.
This is why CureSearch is committed to transcending the broken system by addressing its challenges head on. By accelerating the pace of cancer research via large, long-term commitments to the most novel and promising science, we are driving ever faster to clinical use with patients—not in ten years, not in five, but right now. We are building the kind of transformative partnerships that will eliminate silos, increase collaboration, encourage invention, and help us develop targeted therapies to reduce toxicity and improve quality of life for survivors. Finally, we are closely measuring and communicating our impact on children and families—every single day.
CureSearch invites investment from donors who are ready for a breakthrough today, who believe, as we do, that we can accelerate the research—and that we can find better treatments and cures. At CureSearch, we are fighting for the future every child deserves and every parent dreams their child will have. Accelerate the search. End childhood cancer. Join CureSearch today.
CureSearch’s basic and translational research programs offer the greatest potential for scientists to design treatments and improve outcomes for children with difficult-to-treat cancers. The Acceleration Initiative is a $10 million portfolio that addresses the most challenging barriers facing the field of children's cancer research. Our Young Investigator Program provides support for young researchers and scientists conducting childhood cancer research in transformational science aimed at delivering the next generation of treatments. Through Catapult, CureSearch will convene leaders in academia, industry, and regulatory agencies to catapult the best research out of the lab and into the clinic and commercialization, to get better treatments to children faster and ensure they not only survive, but live long healthy lives. Finally, for more than a decade, CureSearch has funded clinical trial research to ensure treatment for over 50,000 children with cancer.
CureSearch also develops and distributes educational resources online and in print for patients and families with up-to-date, scientifically reviewed information that addresses all aspects of pediatric cancer and its treatment. From explaining chemotherapy to understanding a biopsy, our video library helps parents and caregivers understand some of the common medical procedures related to children’s cancer. In 2015 we launched the CancerCare Mobile App, an innovative mobile application for Android and iPhones that provides free, comprehensive cancer management for parents and caregivers to share information about their child’s treatment. The app makes it possible (and easy) for multiple caregivers to trade notes, symptoms, and resources about their child.
We can’t fight children’s cancer alone. When you partner with CureSearch, you help accelerate cancer research initiatives and raise awareness about how devastating cancer can be for a child.
