American Campaign for Prevention of Child Abuse and Family Violence
The American Campaign for Prevention of Child Abuse and Family Violence is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1984 as the National Council on Child Abuse and Family Violence (www.NCCAFV.org). It serves all fifty states and U.S. Territories as a resource center on family violence prevention initiatives and provides assistance referrals to individuals needing community violence prevention services.
Now in its 33rd year as a national, volunteer, nongovernmental organization, NCCAFV and its American Prevention Campaign provide violence prevention services each year that help thousands of children, spouses/partners (women and men), and the elderly who are physically, mentally and emotionally abused and vulnerable to family violence in the home.
NCCAFV staff also provide public education, resource and program consultation, technical assistance and best-practice training to agencies addressing family violence in all its forms - child abuse, spouse/partner abuse (domestic violence), and elder abuse.
Our professionally qualified volunteer staff serve without fee so that the American Campaign and NCCAFV can provide maximum program services nationwide with minimal overhead for management and fund-raising.
