Emily Gross leads a team to ensure timely membership renewal and completion of public sector campaign applications for member charities and works with members of the Client Engagement Team staff to engage in the ongoing development of services and solutions provided to nonprofit and other clients.
Before joining America’s Charities, Emily worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech and assisted in the instruction of political science and political economy courses at the undergraduate level. Throughout graduate school, she developed a keen interest in nonprofits, particularly in studying responsible governance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction in the nonprofit sector. She has served previously as an intern with the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region, and with the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany.
Emily received her Master’s in Public and International Affairs (MPIA) in May of 2013, with a focus on nonprofit organizational governance and capacity building. She also holds a B.A. from Virginia Tech in International Studies and German.
