Becky Marx wants to live in a world where businesses understand that prioritizing people equals profits, where coffee never gets cold, and kindness is currency.
Becky is currently responsible for managing the City of Philadelphia Employees’ Combined Campaign, a position she previously held over a decade ago when the campaign was under the management of a different organization. She has also served as operations director for an interior design firm, managed several state and local political campaigns, has been employed by political consulting firms, and was legislative director for a state representative.
With nearly 15 years of experience in workplace giving and employee engagement, Becky is exceptionally passionate about people, relationships, and philanthropy. Prior to her role at America’s Charities, she worked at Community Health Charities, where she spent ten years wearing many hats: Executive Director of Pennsylvania state affiliate; managing a myriad of charity and client relationships; ensuring client compliance with state and federal regulations; and facilitating new business by providing strategic insights and comprehensive analytical data to the entire organization, a role that she originated.
Becky has bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Theater from Washington College in Maryland, and a master's in Public Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves as the Marketing and Communications Director for the Special Education Alliance of Cheltenham, and as an advisor and advocate for special needs families in the Philadelphia region. She is also a singer, a jewelry designer, and an excellent cook.
Becky shares her home with two precocious elementary-aged sons, a tech-savvy husband, a lazy husky, and two cats who won’t catch mice. When she’s not folding laundry, Becky enjoys working out, reading, and writing about herself in the third person.
