Preventing homelessness by providing material and spiritual assistance to people while helping them find jobs, this week’s Featured Charity has connected 86,174 people with jobs since it was founded 20 years ago.

What our organization does:

Christian HELP is devoted to preventing homelessness by helping people find jobs while providing for them materially and spiritually.  We work diligently to equip and empower people with all the tools they need for their job search including one on one employment counseling, job skills classes, job fairs, and an online job board. 

Additionally, we have a 2000 square foot food pantry to help people so they don’t have to choose between paying their bills and eating.  We are unique in that we answer our phones, work hard to create a safe atmosphere for people to share their stories, and try to provide all the connections and resources we can to help people move forward.

We are starting a capital campaign to increase our space in order to add more training programs and counseling.  We are looking for:

• Sponsors,
• Volunteers, and
• Public relations.

Here's how your company can help:
We love corporate volunteers!  Target and FedEx help in our pantry as well as church and other social and civic groups. We are also looking for companies to post job leads at CFEC.org and participate in our job fair.

Christmas comes more than once a year in Central Florida.
